Featured Artist: Per Haagensen

I use artwork as a great source of inspiration when I plot and scheme. More than one character, organization, place, or even plot line, have started with associations from a picture. Some fit right in, while others never really seem to find a snug fit.

Per Haagensen, a fellow Norwegian, has a remarkable and distinct style, and I have long admired his work. The picture in this post is one of my favourites, and it's what inspired a sinister organization of Outsiders, the Ordo Ultima Thule. I will most likely add a post about the OUT at some point, but it probably isn't coming just yet.
